Interlude: Close Call

1929

One day during the summer Carly had a close call of almost being kidnapped.  She took a shower after the attempted when she and Molly got back home.   Carly was appreciating Molly's quick thinking.   

Carly and Molly had gone to the library.  Maan in recent years had been very over protective of Carly and refuses to let her go anywhere if she wasn't accompanied by Molly.  Molly wasn't too happy about that.    This one day Molly went into the library leaving Carly outside.  While she was outside this one woman came to her and told Carly that "she reminded her of her own daughter who lost her service dog and would she (Carly) want to help?" Carly agreed and started walking off with the woman.  Then Molly came off and said "WHAT ARE YOU THINKING OF REMEBER YOU'RE ALLERGIC TO PETS ESPECIALLY DOGS?" Carly 'remembered' about her allergies.  "Sorry like Molly said I'm allergic to dogs I forgot about that.  Maybe you should go shave your back or something KIDNAPPER?"    The same day she gave Molly a toy  as a sort of Thank You for her making up a story to get her away from the kidnapper.

Near the end of summer Carly told  their Maan  that if they were going to extend the house for when the children were teenagers SHE should get what should be the master bedroom so she doesn't have to share a big bathroom with the REST of the FAMILY.    A couple of days later Carly told their Ba that because SHE is the heiress she should get the BEST bedroom in the updated house.  Ba  knew better then to tell Carly "No" so he agreed that is what will happen to make Carly happy.

1.5 Too Busy to Write

 1926

Dear diary I been so busy to write trying to get up in the ranks at work. Originally Bai and I thought about me quiting my job and being a full stay-at-home Mom. But that didn't work out because of how high our bills is and how little Bai is getting paid.  Besides he wants me to be able to have the luxuries that I had back at home..so I spend a lot of his money on fashion shows and shopping. My dear Carly is also the same.  She got to be a junior member of the Paragons club.   I also joined a religion the Enrichment and we have to give about $500 per week

I discovered from Bai that Derek had joined a not-very nice club called the Renegades.  I went straight to the pool area and said "YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO BE IN THIS CLUB!" Derek yelled back at me "I'M NINE YEARS OLD I WILL DO WHAT I WANT!!"   I then asked him to come sit by me and I talked about my real cousins who died under mysterious circumstances.  So he's kind of conflicted at the moment he illiterately, got himself on fire I had to put him out.    

 When I took Bai, Carly and Derek to Disney parks.  Molly did her job but slept WITHOUT permission in Carly's bed and also played with a toy meant for Derek (a present from Carly)  So when Carly learned after our return,  she said "NO! BAD GIRL!" at Molly.   When I heard from Carly about that I told Molly "UNTIL YOU LEARN YOU DON'T GET INDOOR BATHROOM PRIVILEGES!!"

1.4 Molly's Problem

Dear Diary,  I'm hate being the unloved child.  I can't sit at the table when the others have meals and I have to eat their scraps.  Maan (Mom)  always calls me "runt" despite I do the most work in this household. 

 The other day she criticised me for sitting at the table when no one one was in the house but our family.  Like I said I have to wait for the others to finish and go to bed before I can clean up and eat what remains of the others' meals.   I DON'T EVEN GET A BED!! Carly and Derek both too and the parents do but I have to sleep on the couch.   One morning in the winter  Carly got up around 3-4 in the morning and went to the parents' room and woke up Maan "I WANT YOU TO MAKE A MEAL NOW!!" So Maan did as Carly demanded..she would have liked me to make the meals but I'm not old enough yet its a couple more years before that can happen.  I probably will have other chores to do as well as a teenager besides just cooking.  So everyone got up and had breakfast after Maan made it.  I cleaned up as they ate and put away the leftovers.

I have this kind of crush on this one boy in class. Alexander Goth.  But Carly found out about my crush and said "Alex would never marry a little runt like you.  That Alex would marry a  princess like ME"

One day near spring we came home from school and Carly starting insulting my outfit with words like "You look like an HOMELESS PERSON maybe you should go and live out with those people and not stink up our house? You have no sense of style or taste"  Its not my fault that the local Charity store doesn't have more then  two decent outfits for Carly and Derek and I got the leftovers. 

During the spring Carly became ill and Maan took care of her.  In the meantime Ba (Dad) took Derek to the nearby park. After Carly felt better Maan followed the boys to the park and took photos of the two of them.  Then they came back and Ba took pictures of her and Carly.  No one will ever take a picture of me since I'm a 'runt'.   Why am I the only one who gets in trouble for causing messes and yet both my siblings don't? I got grounded from my phone for causing a mess.. I mean I clean up everyone else's messes. 

Ba and Derek would like to talk to Mom about treating me better but I think they're scared of her and of Carly.  Since they both tried talking to Mom but Mom says I need to "learn my place" and that they aren't to disobey what she puts down since its HER house.  Ba didn't like the fact she forgoet that HE built the house for her. But he let it go.
