Wyatt and I spend more time together and he told me in his broken English about the country of Afana and why his family had to escape.
Both his sides of his family had come over to Afana as slaves for the royal family the Benavides in the 14th century . But they were able to buy their way to freedom. By Mr. and Mrs. Woods' time (Mrs. Woods, have asked her to call her Auntie Rain) that Aunt Rain has become a doctor at the local hospital while Mr. Woods was a successful businessman. The royal family had been around up until five months ago which is where Wyatt's story begins
A week or so before the royal family was found murdered Mr. Woods found a mysterious toddler girl on their doorstep of their then-house. The only clue to whom she was-was a picture of the royals. Byt this point then been rumours that the Eldest Princess' royal boyfriends been killed. So the Woods had a family picture taken. But a month later EVERYTHING WENT TO HELL!
First was lies like "They illegal come here, get jobs to put them in our nice clean banks no wonder our economy tanking. Because the dirty illegal, dangerous drunkard criminals N- backing our banks!" and also "Why are this illegal N- women so loud and argumentative?/. and why are they allowed to be Doctors and Journalists! They should be docile and know their place-- IN A WHITE PERSON"S KITCHEN!" Which caused both Mr. Woods and Aunt Rain to lose their jobs. Then soldiers came and arrested the parents and took the children away they both the children and the parents ended up in the same place a one-floor house a very dirty "ghetto" with another family-which only consisted of one person. Mr. Griffin.
Now that they lived in this 'ghetto" house- in the house Auntie Rain had to dress modestly- and have her head uncovered but if she DARED to go outside to like GO to the MARKETPLACE not only did she needs to have her head covered, but she MUST be accompanied by a male relative.
Mr. Griffin got the news that his family members were killed in "camps" and that he and Woods' family would also be taken to this kind of "camps" on trains like cattle. How does Wyatt know this? Because Mr.Griffin told him himself after he finished the phone call since Wyatt asked him like he was upset. Mr. Griffin and Woods' family got to the border of Afana before he was shot but Mr. Griffin had given Mr. Woods information which led them to a safe house which they could get passports without birth certificates and come to Windenburg
